Air Conditioning Split Systems consist of an indoor unit piped through the wall to an outdoor unit. These units are versatile, clean, and energy efficient. They also allow for quiet operation and ease of use. Although some units can be brought for cooling only, the majority are now capable of heating and cooling. This is known as reverse cycle air conditioning. They also come in very elegant and unobtrusive designs, with appearances that blend with the modern dècor.
Split systems come with a infra-red wireless remote to operate the system. They have advance functions to allow for complete flexibility and customisation to allow your air conditioner to be used to it’s full potential. Some can have an optional wired wall controller or a Wi-Fi adaptor. Some newer models have Wi-Fi built in enabling you to control your air conditioning unit by downloading an app and controlling it from your phone.
Some brands have movement sensors that can be programmed to increase (during cooling) the temperature when no movement is found in the room after a certain amount of time. Some of these units have an added feature of deodorising air purifying filters, removing unpleasant odours and harmful particles, such as pollen and smoke. The result is clean, fresh, healthy air. These units are available in three configurations: Inverter model, Non-inverter model and Inverter Multi Split Systems. Split Systems are available in both reverse cycle and cooling only models.
Today, split systems are available in Cool Only and Reverse Cycle models (providing cooling in summer and heating in winter) and incorporate a host of innovative features. Many provide fresh and cleaner air through the use of quality air filtration systems which trap microscopic particles, decomposes odours and deactivates bacteria and viruses.
