Mitsubishi Electric Split System – AP Series

By 6 years ago

Introducing the newest addition to the Mitsubishi Electric split system, wall mounted line up. The Mitsubishi Electric AP Model

I’m not sure how Mitsubishi choose the letters to define their models but I’m guessing the AP stands for Aesthetically Pleasing, because this new model is very streamlined and blends in with a modern home. The sharp right angles look great and it will butt right up to the corner of the wall if a side exit installation is necessary. The Mitsubishi Electric split system louvered flaps close to form a right angle and both open up to direct the air in the required direction. All units now have motor driven left and right louvers also to direct the air in either side direction.

QUIET OPERATION – As with all Mitsubishi Electric split system models these also are extremely quiet, producing as little as 18 decibels on the low setting. Perfect for bedrooms where they are whisper quiet.

POWERFUL BUTTON – The large models still feature the ‘powerful’ button which can be pressed to allow the units fan to work at an extra high speed to cool or heat the room faster. This setting will stay on for 15 minutes and then the fan will drop back to the previous setting.

LONG AIRFLOW – A ‘Long’ button is also a feature of the 6, 7 and 8Kw models. This button kicks the front louver up at a higher angle allowing the unit to push air up to 11 meters across the room.

NEW VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL VANE DESIGN – New vertical and horizontal vanes are double the size of the previous model, allowing the airflow direction to be adjusted and improving airflow control effectively. These functions can be activated at the touch of a button on your remote controller.

ADVANCE INVERTER TECHNOLOGY – All units have fast speed cooling and heating with major energy savings compared to the older non-inverter technology thanks to Advanced Inverter Technology. Up to 30% energy savings are possible and there are the no temperature differences like older non-inverter units thanks to the way the unit maintains an almost constant set temperature.

WI-FI CONTROL – All models can still be controlled via an app on your phone with an additional Wi-Fi add on card.

DUAL BARRIER COATING – The outdoor units’ aluminium fins are coated in a special anti-corrosion treatment that helps protect the heat exchanger from harsh environments including salt air due to living close to the sea. Dual Barrier Coating designed to reduce dust and greasy dirt from collecting in the unit, providing long-lasting protection to the heat exchanger, fan and air ducts. Another feature invented by Mitsubishi Electric

ENERGEX PEAK SMART COMPATIBLE – All units are capable of being fitted with an Energex peak smart meter.
Installing one of these on 4.2, 5, 6, 7 and 8Kw units will allow you to claim a $200 cashback. This is an incentive from the government to allow them to take the stress of infrastructure during high demand (peak) times.
Unfortunately, Energex have stopped the $100 cashbacks on the smaller 2.5 and 3.5Kw models.

LATEST REFRIGERANT – The latest R32 refrigerant insures minimal harm to the environment.

WARRANTY – Mitsubishi Electric AP models still offer a generous 5 year warranty. And as we find these units to be the most reliable of all the units we sell, you would be very, very unlucky to have a unit that would develop a fault within this period.
